I’m the VP of an environmental services contractor. We manage projects that require remediation efforts. Specifically, we handle hazardous or contaminated cleanup efforts. When a client comes to us with an environmental concern, they bring data to us and we analyze it. Our team then tells them the most cost-effective way to remediate the situation.

We can provide transportation and disposal services, along with heavy equipment and operators to execute the job. Overall, we help get rid of environmental concerns and guide our customers along in the process.

Our business has a level of complexity where we need to capture plenty of data and information, such as who’s responsible for the waste and how many pieces of equipment we’ve sent to fix it. We need to capture everything in one spot using an all-in-one project management, accounting, and invoicing system. That’s what Baytech has worked on for us.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We initially had a couple of face-to-face meetings with Baytech, where we explained our business and needs — they interviewed us, so to speak. Then, they started developing the system.

At present, we still work with them and their developers.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with Brian and Jeff (Business Partners) for the onboarding process. Depending on their availability, we can work directly with them or their software developers. If we have questions, we can set up a call with Jeff, and he then adds appropriate people from his team to tackle issues or questions. From there, we work with developers that have the appropriate skillsets to work on the project.

How did you come to work with Baytech Consulting?

I hired Baytech specifically because of their punctuality, response times, and professionalism. To find them, I checked local Yelp reviews and reached out to a few companies within the local market. Baytech was the quickest to respond. Moreover, the team members had cohesive personalities and relationships.

Our team has spent around $100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We officially kicked off the project in July 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Baytech has been extremely consistent in the excellence of their service. Jeff lives and breathes the business, and that trickles down to their employees. He’s also never lost sight of that — the service we’ve received during the onboarding process is the same top-tier service we receive now.

How did Baytech Consulting perform from a project management standpoint?

From a project management standpoint, Baytech keeps us organized. We do around 600 jobs per year, and the program that Baytech has created allows us to keep everything streamlined. We can get all of our job-related information from it — everything is in one place, and it’s a one-stop-shop. Without this system, we’d be using Excel spreadsheets to keep track of all information.

Moreover, Baytech is straightforward about their availability. Whatever they tell us they’ll do, they follow through. The team tells us when a task is easy and when it’s good to go. In other words, they’re always honest about timelines, and they deliver what they say they’ll deliver.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Baytech’s ability to make the system come to life and make it easy to understand is impressive. The team has created a program from absolutely nothing to something that’s user-friendly and speaks our proprietary environmental service language. They’ve brought our program to life, and that’s truly incredible.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any. My business partner and I are incredibly happy with Baytech.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Think about what you want and properly articulate what you’re trying to build. On top of that, enjoy the engagement — Baytech is going to do a good job. As long as you come prepared and you’re willing to explain the project to them, they’re going to deliver a perfect product to you.
