What challenge were you trying to address with Baytech Consulting?
We’re a small shop, so we wanted to have a software that would help us handle our workflow faster. We needed a vendor to help us develop such a software.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Baytech developed a database system that can help us process demographic and income data related to our tenants. It’s a web-based proprietary program that we can use to track all of the existing locations that our client has throughout North America. There are thousands of data points that are entered into the system by way of paycheck, and Baytech was able to compile a simple one-page summary targeting specific demographic data and variables that we’re interested in. All the information is in front of us on a screen with the reports that are easy to read. They continue to help us with minor tweaks and edits when we need them.

We mostly interact with one of their partners, who is our account manager.

The relationship had started before I joined the company.

We spent over $1 million.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We have three employees in our office, and with the new system, we can handle the workflow that would normally take dozens of people to manage. The return on the financial investment that we’ve made is more than tenfold. It’s a proprietary software and has more capabilities than some of the newer commercial systems. We have all the data points that we deal with (on a competitive and site-by-site basis) readily available, while our client has the ability to pinpoint what exactly they want to see in one-page reports.
How did Baytech Consulting perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re able to delegate and manage the tasks very well internally. If we have an issue or a new task for them, we simply reach out to our account manager and he’s always prompt with his responses.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They respond immediately and do high-quality work. We have a very good relationship. Usually, there are many variables when you’re dealing with IT companies, but Baytech always adheres to their estimates and timelines.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No. I only have positive things to say about Baytech.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Have a clear project outline and a timeline. Also, make sure you have the budget. Baytech is very upfront about their capabilities and provides a personalized level of service. I’d definitely recommend them.
